Andrew Gladstone (Principal)
D.pod.M MRCpod
Andrew qualified as a Podiatrist in 1989 and is the founder of City Chiropody.
He started his first private practice in 1993 in Old Street, London- and over a number of years has set up a small number of satellite clinics across London and most recently in Loughton , Essex
Andrew has a special intrest in Verruca and sees long standing stubborn verruca as a challenge .
Andrew is a provider of Swift Microwave therapy and Verruca Needling.
His other main interest apart from general Chiropody are ingrowing toenails on both adults and children. Andrew has performed over 750 ingrown toe nail surgeries during his career.
Mimi Ly
BSc (Hons) MRCpod
Mimi is a HCPC registered podiatrist and member of the Royal College of Podiatry. She qualified from the University of East London in 2010.
She has extensive experience in the NHS and private practice, specialising in surgical and non surgical management of ingrowing toenails, diabetic foot complications, neurovascular assessments and verrucae treatments.
In her spare time, Mimi has provided foot care to patients and their carers at St Raphael’s Hospice in Surrey, UK based homeless shelters, running events and rugby tournaments on a voluntary basis.
She treats people from a multitude of backgrounds including professional athletes and members of the armed forces.
When she is not at work, Mimi plays field hockey in the Essex Women’s Hockey League.
Mimi’s treatments are meticulous and thoughtful. Her treatments are for everyone and welcomes people from all walks of life.
Whether you’re a long-standing regular or a nervous new patient. No matter what your lifestyle , occupation or background is, she is always happy to tailor her treatments to suit her patient’s individual needs.
Sophie Brewer
BSc (Hons) MRCpod
Sophie is an HCPC registered Podiatrist and graduated from Southampton University with Distinction in her Masters Degree. She had experience in NHS in High Risk clinics and working in the Private sector. She specialises in Verruca treatments (including Dry Needling), Ingrowing toe nail procedures, Biomechanics and Gait assessments. Sophie volunteers regularly as a Podiatrist for Homeless shelters in the UK and abroad. She recently won funding to treat patients in orphanages in Romania. She enjoys travel, swimming and surfing.
Alexa Callaghan
BSc (Hons) MRCpod
Alexa is a deeply caring and warm podiatrist, who is committed to helping people feel better from the feet up. Her patients love her empathetic approach, a focus on holistic and sustainable treatment plans and her bubbly character. Patients can expect treatment to begin with a thorough history-taking and biomechanical assessment of the entire lower limb, to identify and treat pain or discomfort.
Alexa is passionate about podiatry, as she experienced foot pain as a child and endured injuries as an active teenager, having played netball, basketball, athletics, swimming and dancing. As an adult, Alexa continues to remain active, having undertaken her Clinical Rehabilitative Pilates trying with Polestar Pilates, hiking on the weekends and strength training during the week.
Alexa’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Medicine from Western Sydney University (Australia), and is strongly committed to ongoing education to help her patients. Her musculoskeletal skill sets include trigger-point dry needling, Foot Mobilisation Therapy, prolotherapy, gait and running assessments, lower body strength and conditioning training and orthotic therapy. Alexa also treats common foot issues related to skin and nails – having a gentle and conservative approach to treatment. She treats ingrown nails, corns, calluses, verrucas and fungal nails.
Chris Barrett
BSc(hons) MRCpod
Chris is an HCPC registered Podiatrist and member of the Royal college of podiatry. He qualified from the University of Brighton.
He has experience working in the NHS High Risk clinics and the private sector. Providing a variety of care including Ingrown toenail management, wound treatment, corn removal, verrucae treatment, foot mobilisation and manipulation. He has a keen interest in Nail surgery.
When he is not in the clinic, he enjoys being Dad and has a keen interest in fitness related activities such as Boxing and bouldering.
Carol Ricketts
BSc MRCpod
Carol graduated as a mature student in 2012 and has worked in the NHS as a locum treating low risk and high risk patients and privately over previous years.
Carol is a great believer in self care and the ways to improve comfort and manage conditions by educating the patient with self care techniques.
Thorough medical histories and clear communication to understand WHY
conditions are happening are key to long term treatment outcomes.
Carol has a friendly personality and understands some patients are anxious/ embarrassed to initiate treatment.
